We received this puzzle on Wednesday from my parents. Thursday morning Bella asked if we could put it together. This is before she even asked for milk or breakfast. She was super excited and did really well.
Friday morning, after breakfast, she asked to put it together again. I was busy posting pictures to the blog and told her I’d be over to help her in a bit. I wasn’t really paying attention and when I finally made it over, she had half the puzzle together. I couldn’t believe it!
I told her she was smart. She said, “I’m a smart cookie!” Some days I am just blown away by the cuteness.

I didn’t want you to think that I didn’t take any pics of the Kundhis’ visit. I’ve got a lot of deadlines this weekend and I’m not sure when I’ll finish going through all of the lovely pictures on my camera. Hope this tides everyone over for a little bit!

I didn’t have the heart to tell her they were on backward, but I couldn’t let her wear them this way. I made up an excuse for us to take them off and then we put them on the correct feet. After I took a picture, of course.

Bella is learning how to tell time. Right now she knows:
8:30 am: stock market opening bell (she loves watching this on cnbc)
12:00 pm: lunchtime
5:00 pm: clifford the big red dog on pbs kids
This weekend was our neighborhood garage sale. We stopped by to say hi to our neighbors and found the cutest little clock!
I love how it is both digital and conventional. It tells a time and asks her to move the hands to the proper positions. It also has a little cuckoo bird that makes music. She’s been playing with it practically nonstop since Thursday afternoon. I had to take a picture of it on the counter because when she has it, she’s so absorbed that I can’t get her to look at the camera. All of this fun for $1. Love it!

Yesterday morning we went to the Farmers’ Market, as usual. The weather was beautiful. I commented that one day I’d like to sit out on the patio at The Oven and have lunch. It’s the perfect spot for people watching. Then I thought, why not today? That’s what I’d really like to do to celebrate Mother’s Day. So what if it is on a different day.
I ordered my favorite comfort food: chickpeas with poori (deep fried bread). It was heavenly! Bella was an angel considering that she had spent a lot of time already running around Iron Horse Park. It was a truly delightful morning with my two favorite people. Thanks T and M!

Yesterday morning was beautiful. Lauren and I plopped the kiddos in their strollers and went cruising for some deals at her neighborhood garage sales. Check out what we found for Bella: 101 Dalmations II and Cars, $2.50 each. This Minnie Mouse book was only 25 cents! She’s already read it too many times to count. I love how she gets completely absorbed in a new book.

I love this picture. It was taken at the zoo yesterday. I’ve spent countless hours waiting for the train back and forth to Washington, DC. This train station was definitely the nicest I’ve ever visited.
More waiting: I’ve got a lot to do today and soon we’ll be heading out for a little date with Lauren and Brady. Zoo pictures will have to wait until this weekend. Have a good Friday, everyone!
